The graduate is a specialist in the sphere of management, planning, financial, scientific activities. He may act as an administrator, interpreter and lecturer in International Economics, International Economic Relations and Foreign Economic Activities.

The specialist can be employed by:

·        international companies

·        banks and other credit and financial institutions.

·        trade and industry chambers and trading houses

·        foreign and joint companies

·        Belarus delegations and economic bodies and its representative institutions abroad

·        foreign trade companies

·        state financial and monetary institutions

·        research institutions and educational establishments

The specialist should possess a high knowledge-level of humanitarian, social, scientific, special sciences to succeed in his professional activity and acquire practical skills working in the sphere of foreign economic activities.

He should apply his theoretical and practical knowledge to solve any problem professionally being responsible for possible consequences. He should continually enrich his knowledge, analyse past and present economic trends, realise the role of his professional activity in the process of the world economy development. He should have good command of at least two foreign languages.

 The graduate has special knowledge of:

·        objective laws governing the world economic development

·        history of the international economic relations, its principles, forms and mechanism

·        theoretical and practical world trade policy

·        peculiarities of foreign countries accounting and statistic (partners of Belarus in economic relations)

·        peculiarities of foreign civil law

·        present foreign monetary law

·        economic reform theories

·        reforms, methods of governmental external economic regulations

·        peculiarities of multinational companies administration and management

·        foundation and running methods of some leading international economic organisations

·        forms of off-shore and free economic zones

·        topical problems of the global market and trends of its development

·        role of Belarus in the system of international labour division

·        economic reforms in Belarus and external economic activity role in the process

·        geopolitical position of Belarus.

The graduate is able to use:

·        methods of management of external economic activity of a company, a bank, a state.

·        methods of foreign banks management

·        external payment methods

·        methods of bookkeeping and of cost-effectiveness analysis

·        methods of insurance of transport, commercial, national, currency and other risks

·        global market condition research methods

·        methods of product promotion at external markets

·        up-to-date methods of joint and small enterprises, international and overseas companies management

·        foreign trade management methods

·        calculation of bank transactions

·        mechanism of global finance

·        the ways of getting, using and refunding foreign investments

·        effectiveness methods

The Graduate Can:

·        carry on commercial negotiations with foreign partners

·        draw up contracts, agreements and treaties with foreign companies and provide their implementation

·        manage credit and monetary foreign transactions

·        make external market research and its practical application in the development of company strategies

·        manage company strategic planning

·        take on personnel

·        run export companies

·        run international trade companies and subsidiaries

·        make transactions through international stock and commodity markets

·        make forex operations

·        act as an economic adviser, referent, economic services director

·        plan, organise and carry out analytical research of international economic relations activity

·        deliver lectures in Global Economics, Int. Economic Relations, Int. Marketing, Int. Management
